Way to go Mark. Welcome to the Giants. A proud tradition of defense loving fans. Please keep the facepaint, and bring your intensity to the field. You will instantly become a fan favorite if you leave it all out on the field!

Dear Mark:

I lost my 24 y/o daughter to Ewings Sarcoma PNET on 11/1/10. Being from New Jersey she and the rest of my family are avid Giants Fans. When I saw you signed I was so thrilled. For those who didn’t survive and those who are still fighting the fight, please show the world that Ewings can get its ass beat!

Congratulations Mark. I’m thrilled for you. I’m a parent from Conestoga HS and Wayne Presbyterian, and I’ve followed your journey through this website. It’s just fantastic that you have achieved this dream goal. Work hard and have fun!

Mark – good luck, best wishes and blessings for a great game today … Your personal story is remarkable. A little history … My wife’s family the Billingslea’s … and my wife Beth Billingslea (now Kress) was good friends with your mom and grandparents when they lived in Rowayton Connecticut. My Mother In-law Priscilla Billingslea worked with your Grand Father (Billy) at the New Canaan Country School. Your grandfather had a wonderful sense of humor and could fix just about anything (the handiest person I’ve ever met in my life … really!) The Billingslea’s and Martin’s (grandparents) owned a wonderful little cottage/cabin together on Long Meadow Pond in Bethlehem, CT (loved that cabin). Beth and I spent many beautiful year round week-ends, vacations and a couple of Thanksgiving holiday’s there too. Mainly I know your family through my wife’s family. Beth’s parents relocated to Post Falls Idaho to be near their son Chris and daughter in-law Sandy family … because they wanted to see their grandchildren grew up. Chris is a family doctor and has a very successful practice in Post Falls. My brother in-law Paula Billingslea lives in up-state NY and is also a cancer survivor too (great guy … not sure if you ever met him) Anyways … I realize this is way too much info to post here. I was watching the Today Show this morning and saw a brief interview with you so I wanted to induce myself and say hello …
Regardless of the outcome of today’s game you are a true winner and inspiration to me. Peace & blessing … Bobby Kress & Beth Billingslea-Kress, Portland, Oregon.
Goooooooo Giants!

Mark I just wanted you to know that my wife is a 15 year surviver of Synovial Sarcoma of the right knee. Her first surgery was back in June of 1996 and the 2nd was in 1999. You can an will survive! Keep the Spirit going!
