Despite the grueling schedule of being diagnosed, treated, and ultimately beating cancer, Mark Herzlich has been able to stay up on his course load and will receive his diploma from Boston College tomorrow. Today Mark is receiving an academic award for his off the field efforts which highlights the “student” in student|athlete. Congratulations Mark!

One year ago today Mark Herzlich was told that he had cancer. The world would not know for two more days that the reigning 2008 ACC Defensive Player of the Year would be in a fight for his life. Mark and his family waisted no time.
