Mark and Family:

I'm a CMU alum, writing this as I watch BC and CMU play. So are many people from both our colleges, but its a bigger deal to me perhaps to watch the coverage about your personal battles off the field. In 1990 I was also diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma. It was also for me during the time between my junior and senior year of college. At the time, I was attending Washington State University. I wasn't an athlete, and I didn't have the mental strength I perceive in you. But I do remember the shock of such a rare diagnosis at what felt like the prime of my life. I eventually returned to school after my treatment and graduated in 1993, and went on to graduate school at CMU. I'm now a college professor, a wife, and a Mom (adopting a 13 year old this year!). I will Pray till it Herz!
